In case you've not heard the goodie 2 shoes UK government, in it's ongoing attempts to combat violent crime (you know like inner city teengage gang knife attacks and .38 magnum handgun executions) is due to ban the sale of air rifles by mail order (cos that'll really help)
From now on to buy a rifle with which to plink targets or knock off annoying pigeons you'll have to go to a full on registered firarms dealer and buy one across the counter.
This also means that prices are going to go UP BIGTIME as such dealers are relatively few compared to the current online suppliers and so can charge top prices as a result. It would not surprise me if a lot of price fixing went on (it's what I'd do to be honest)
So if you're thinking of getting an air rifle anytime soon then make it....soon. A quick google search will bring up no end of possible sources. I can help too, see my suppliers site at here and drop me a line with what you'd like a quote for - it will be a LOT less than the prices on the site which are full retail (and what you will pay for sure if you hold off)
